Kundiawa Hospital the pride of Chimbu people

Letters

KUNDIAWA General Hospital in Chimbu is the best in the country and Pacific as well.
The hospital cannot be seen on the Highlands Highway even though it is located atop a hill.
A few meters walk from the shanty Dickson Rugby League Oval, the home of famous TNA Lions, lies the Sir Nombri Kundiawa Memorial Hospital.
It is the pride of the Chimbu people because they know it’s the best.
The hospital has some of the iconic medical practitioners in the country who are very passionate and great in their profession.
Dr Jan Jaworski and Dr Nasha are some of the notable expatriates who have dedicated their lives to serve the Chimbu people with dignity.
With its effective management and hardworking staff, it has raised the standard of the hospital to new heights.
Patients from around the country have been flown and travelled into Kundiawa to seek medical care.
The fast, reliable and better care given by the hospital staff towards to patients is superb.
With simple ground level, concrete and well-arranged building structures, the hospital ensures efficiency and smooth flow of things.
It is so clean and tidy with no bad odours from wastes or medical drugs, which is common in other hospitals.
The flower beds and lawns are trimmed and kept neat at all times with orchids blooming along the footpaths.
The picturesque image of the hospital gives patients and visitors a sense of hope and healing.
It is truly a magnificent place
