Show evidence of claims to land

As reported in The National yesterday, Mineral Resources Development Company, Kumul Petroleum Holdings Ltd and the departments of Petroleum and Energy will be launching an election to elect a chairman to represent the Hides PDL7 landowners in the company Gas Resources Hides 4 Ltd.
This election is illegal as no incorporated land group (ILG) in PDL7 was properly registered under the Land Act.
Out of the 177 clans in PDL7, only Tukupa Walo ILG is registered under the Land Act.
Only Tukupa Walo ILG has a registered title over the Hides gas conditioning plant land.
Tukupa Walo ILG has a valid special agriculture business lease title volume 19, folio 89, for 99 years as the owner of the land harbouring the conditioning plant.
My ILG was never consulted even though Department of Petroleum secretary knows about our ILG position and the warden’s hearing, which took place in September and October last year.
A decision is pending for our compensation claim for using the Hides gas conditioning plant land for the last 15 years.
The warden’s hearing was concluded last year and a decision is pending.
The department is aware of this.
The landowners of Hides gas conditioning plant need answers.
Out of the 700 shipments of liquefied natural gas (LNG) since the first export, how much money is available in the trust account to pay the landowners?
The authorities should provide all information about the monies in the trust account.
We need evidence of ILG registrations and social mapping.
The landowners need clan vetting reports to recognise other ILGs as claimants of the Hides gas conditioning plant.

Edward Peno,
Tukapa Walo ILG chairman
