Lae needs new governor, mayor

Letters, Normal

Every year, Lae city’s law and order problems go from bad to worse and the same goes with the public infrastructure services because there are no redevelopment plans.
The governor tends to spend more time on court issues and the mayor seems to be providing lip service.
Both are incapable of managing the city.
I think it is time we get fresh blood, someone with a vision like NCD Governor Powes Parkop.
The new governor and mayor must have sound knowledge in public administration and management, urban planning and infrastructure development.
They must be brave to clean up the city and upgrade public infrastructure services to the required standards.
The bottom line is to transform Lae into the best city in PNG that is safe and attractive for Papua New Guineans and tourists.
