Lae pool comp into playoffs

AFTER completion of the Papua New Guinea Ports Corporate Pool Team Challenge, the Alva Motoring male and female singles has been on for the last two weeks in Lae, Morobe.
Sixteen women and 32 men have taken part in the competition at the Aviat Social Club.
The players for each division are divided in two pools.
Currently in the women’s Pool A, Michelle Kanamon leads the group while Liza Clark is on top in Pool B. Among the best performaing female players are Kanamon, Ruth Gavera, Linda Gala and Annette Mondo with Alita Sari, Clark, Nicole Monmai and Esther Auri also showing great form.
In the men’s division, Arua Simoi heads Pool A having won all his games so far with one round to go to end the regular season.
Gilbert Tan is the other undefeated player and the two men are set to face off in the finals.
The other top performers are Jojo Illustrisimo, John Magino, Mike Tecson and Jonathan Cavanagh.
