Law firm bags charity golf challenge, K91,702 raised

THE Oil Search-sponsored Port Moresby Daffodil Corporate Golf Challenge raised K91,702 in this year’s event.
The one-day event held on Friday at the Royal Port Moresby Golf club attracted 26 teams and was won by Mirupasi Lawyers.
The event has been sponsored annually over the last 14 years by Oil Search Limited. This is the fourth time in 14 years that Mirupasi lawyers have won the cup.
It is a charity event to raise funds for the PNG Cancer Foundation to carry out its annual programmes throughout the country.
Money was raised during the event from team registrations, fines, donations and the auction of a signed Kumul Jersey, donated by Oil Search and a signed PNG SP Hunters training shirt, donated by the SPPNG Hunters.
Oil Search executive general manager for Stakeholder Engagement, Gerea Aopi thanked the Port Moresby business community for their continued support over the years.
Aopi, who is also the chairman of the PNG Cancer Foundation, also thanked Jacob Luke and his Mapai Transport team, who for every year since the event started, have flown over from Lae to participate.
Aopi said as a proud PNG company, Oil Search was pleased to be participating in such worthy causes, giving back to PNG.
