Lahi comp into finals, United to play Hekari later

THE Lahi Soccer Association is finally winding down its season with the finals in progress.
Lahi general secretary Tinge Emuka told The National that the association was into the second weekend of finals, with the top-five teams in all divisions fighting it out for spots in the Nov 10 grand finals.
Emuka said three games were scheduled for Saturday and six for Sunday, with the fixtures starting at 11am and 8am respectively on those two days.
Emuka said the men’s A-league, B-league, reserve league and U17 teams would be playing to secure a spot in the final while the losers would play the winners of the clash between third and fourth place.
Minor premiers Sobou play Consort for a spot in the men’s A-league final, with B-league minor premiers Tiangs to face Yamaki.
In the reserve league, minor premiers Consort take on Sobou.
Sobou play Sambure in the U17 division.
In the women’s division, Prima Power are through to the grand final after beating Morobe 4-0.
Morobe will battle with Tiangs for a date with Prima Power in the grand final.
Emuka said the association was planning to host a friendly between Lahi United and Hekari United after the finals.
