Let peace prevail in Goroka Town

Letters

I HAVE travelled to some provinces here in Papua New Guinea and to my dismay, many of those well-known provinces are all unsafe and becoming threats to the innocent citizens.
In my humble view and truthful comments, I have pledged my trust and love for Goroka.
From many years, no matter the ups and downs our country had been through, Goroka has and is always a safe home to all nationals.
The people are loving, helpful and very respectful to all.
Women and girls can walk around in the nights passing settlements and streets without any concerns or worries.
In broad daylight, people mind their own business.
There are no such innocence as thugs or pickpockets here in Goroka. Street vendors are all loving and faithful.
Hence, I want to congratulate the Goroka authority, law enforcement and the public for a job well done in keeping our town in unity.
Please keep up the excellent effort and let’s unite in peace and respect as always.

John Wadidika,
Goroka
