HIGHER Education Minister Delilah Gore has advised the
vice-chancellors of the four universities in the country to work together.
“I appeal to all the vice-chancellors of our universities to work closely with me and the director-general Professor David Kavanamur to provide advice to my office on issues of national importance,” Gore said.
“You are all an asset to the Government and the Government must have the courtesy to consult within its reach rather than hiring highly paid external consultants.
“All academics, instructors, teachers in our higher institutions must give your best. We want to see direct improvement in quality output for graduates.
“There are so many academics that have done so much for
graduates and must be recognised for their efforts to encourage
commitment and dedication to teaching, research and innovations in our institutions.
“I would like to encourage industries to have continued interest in our institutions and develop friendly partnerships to strengthen and increase opportunities for our graduates.”
