Let’s take good care of the elderly

Letters

PAPUA New Guinea has recorded six Covid-19 deaths when an elderly woman died on Sept 6 at Port Moresby General Hospital.
We have to take good care of our elderly because they are more vulnerable to Covid-19,
Many young people who were infected with Covid-19 have recovered well.
I understand that this virus doesn’t discriminate but my concern is for the elderly.
Are we giving enough attention to them?
Sore throat, fatigue, fever and cough are common symptoms of Covid-19.
These symptoms have been commonly experienced by many aging people in PNG even before the Covid-19 pandemic emerged.
Our efforts to fight Covid-19 should be focused more on the elderly.
Let’s all stay safe from Covid-19, it’s not over yet.
