Erave needs coverage;
POOR mobile network coverage throughout Erave in Southern Highlands, has forced locals to consider alternative solutions to improve communications. The current 2G network is not adequate. Internet and other banking services is affected and mobile phone reception has been very poor. As a local from Marorogo Samberigi and Erave, I would like to take the matter up with service provider Digicel PNG. The failure of not setting up towers in remote parts of the area is contributing to the problem. I appeal to Digicel PNG to help about 17,000 population by providing telecommunication services.

Rename the flag to Karike;
I support the letter by ‘Melanesian Patriot’ published last week relating to our flag designer. The least we can accord to the family of the late Susan Karike Huhume is to honour her by naming the flag Karike. That would be an inspiration to the young, especially girls. A tribute that the young ones can look at and know for certain that the nation can take note if they themselves are able to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of PNG.
