Libraries linked to education

The libraries and archives are a road to quality education, says the director general of the office of Libraries and Archives PNG Kakaito Kasi.
Kasi said libraries and archives were very important in teaching and learning.
“Libraries and archives provides the source to store knowledge that can be retrieved in the future for education,” he said.
“The office of the Libraries and Archives will be supporting the Education Department to improve the quality of education through the introduction of the new standard-based curriculum in the country.
“Three public libraries will be opened this year, including
Hohola, Milne Bay and we are in talks to establish one in the city if the commission agrees with the plan,” Kasi said.
