Life is short, live it well

Letters

LIFE is a wonderful gift. Be it from God the Creator or Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, life is precious.
Humans throughout history had taken life for granted. Crimes against humanity had taken their toll around the globe.
Humans can reason, unlike animals, but the increase in crimes against humanity says otherwise.
The abuse of drugs and alcohol, prostitution, involvement in dangerous sports, war crimes, racial and ethnic discriminations are clear examples of our disregard for life.
Nevertheless, how we came to be and where we are heading remains a mystery.
Not even geniuses or a god had revealed that.
As for some of us who believe in the Bible, the Book speaks a lot about how to live life and the afterlife as well.
Any rational human with respect to life can understand that life is very short.
So with all the human endeavors in pursuit of power, fame or wealth, it is just “like chasing the wind”, as King Solomon in the Bible puts it.
That is why every moment of our lives should be spent wisely because life is short and time is running out.
