Man fined K20,000

THE Daru District Court has fined a man K20,000 for buying and storing beche-de-mers without a license, Magistrate Gami Madu says.
Joel Mailt, 31, from Kimil village, Jiwaka, was ordered to pay the fine in default three years imprisonment for buying and storing K200,000 worth of beche-de-mers which was a breach of the National Fisheries Act. He appeared in court for buying 345kgs of the product.
