DR Clement Malau has been appointed the provincial administrator of East Sepik.
East Sepik Governor Allan Bird spoke highly of the man, describing him a “man of good integrity and moral standing” when congratulating him in Port Moresby yesterday.
Malau was one of four senior public officer who signed four-year contract for high-ranking public service positions.
The others were Wilson Matava, provincial administrator of East New Britain; Andrew Liliura, Department of Commerce and Industry Secretary and Barbara Age, Secretary of Department of Foreign Affairs.
“We were looking for the best person for the job,” Bird said.
“And we are lucky that Dr Malau applied.
“With his experience and qualification, his attributes, his personal commitment to his good governance, we have seen changes in the past six months.”
“He is a man of good integrity and ethical standing that was a very easy choice.
“He could have worked elsewhere in the world if he wanted to.
“But he chose to come home and we are very privileged to have him.
“We probably have the best administrator in the country right now.”
