Manase salutes O’Neill after govt promises K10mil funding for Wasa bridge

THE people of Kandep have welcomed the Government’s K10 million funding for the construction of Wasa bridge in the district
Kandep MP Alfred Manase said the people thanked the Government for its intervention to improve their lives. People from Hela, Southern Highlands and Enga will use the bridge.
Manase said parts for the bridge were delivered early this year.
“This is an important road and on behalf of my people, I thank the prime minister for funding K10 million for the construction of the bridge,” he said.
“It fulfils the commitment he made last year.”
Manase said ther bridge would benefit the people of Hela and Southern Highlands, too, as a link between the three provinces.
“The onus is on the contractor to deliver the bridge quickly,” he said.
