Masani leading Huon race

FORMER Huon-Gulf MP Tukape Masani is leading as counting for the electorate began yesterday.
Masani led the 37 candidates with 631 after count one of ballots from the Morobe rural local level government area. He was followed by Ross Seymour.
The progressive tallies after count two were still unavailable at 4.30pm as counting was stalled when a recount of the ballots for the regional seat was ordered.
Frustrated scrutineers and supporters then milled around the counting centre as officials tried to sort out the minor glitch.
Meanwhile, counting for Markham open and Tewai-Siassi seats reportedly began yesterday.
