THE ABG acting President Izekiel Massat, has urged the new Bougainville Polytech School to turn out qualified students who will help develop the province.
Mr Massat, who was speaking at the official launch of the school in Buka last Friday, said ABG would support programmes to train skilled people.
He urged the school board to make sure the school was sustainable and “operate for many years and not just one year”.
Mr Massat said the ABG has supported some schools in the past, but they have since closed.

Its principal, Einstein Laris, said he left  his past job in Rabaul, East New Britain province, to start the school because he saw the need to assist the students who had left the conventional school system.
Another instructor, Ephraim Wesley, said they had to lower the entry qualifications to make the school more accessible to most Bougainville students.
