THE Morata Christian Brethren church congregation at Morata 1, National Capital District, has a new church building and ablution block.
The facilities were opened on Dec 23. Construction work took two years, costing K800,000.
Pastor Jeremy Porobi said it was a great achievement through the hard work and commitment of individual church members, families, partner churches and the church leaders.
“The funds were raised through church members’ contributions, family donations and through other fundraising activities,” Pr Porobi said.
“Apart from spiritual developments, we have plans to improve the infrastructure to carry out other social obligations, especially programmes aimed at reducing social issues in the community,” he added.
Porobi acknowledged everyone who had contributed to the successful completion of the church building and ablution block.
A stone wall was also constructed as part of the developments.
