MOROBE United are determined hand Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League rookies Vitiaz United a tough lesson when they meet in the opening round in Lae tomorrow (3pm kick-off).
Morobe head coach Jack Jonathan told The National yesterday that the bulk of his players were new.
“Some of the players recruited are from the Besta United and some from the Lae Football Association competition,” he said ahead of the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium clash.
“Most of our players from last season have joined Vitiaz.
“This leaves us with a bunch of youngsters full of confidence.
“We believe our combinations will produce positive results.
“The boys are ready and we are looking forward to face Vitiaz.”
Jonathan said he would be counting on captain Jeremy Yasasa, Alex Kamen, Freddy Steven, Vagi Koniel, Vincent Worio, Lui Kataka and Kepas Kamen to lead the side.
“Our game this weekend will be tough with former players in the opposing side but my players they can deliver.
“I have confidence in them and they also have confidence in themselves and it will be a tough game.”
