Motivation driving delivery of service: MP

MOTIVATION and delivery of vital services to local communities in rural areas is a challenge especially with distances and poor road conditions, and Daulo, in Eastern Highlands, was no exception.
Local MP Pogio Ghate and members of the Daulo development authority (DDA), presented a new vehicle to district administrator Samo Tobi to help the administration with the delivery of services to the people.
During a small presentation ceremony held at the government station, Ghate, who is vice-minister for Agriculture, said motivation was the driving factor behind the delivery of vital services in rural districts.
“To deliver extended services, motivation is required to cover and capture the rural areas in the district,” he said.
He added that plans would only be carried out for vital projects, such as education, health, roads and bridges, and various other impact projects.
“The district administrator will be tasked to travel to the areas,” he said.
“This is to ensure that information is collected, so that plans can be made for the delivery of services that can reach the people.”
Ghate said the support and delivery of goods and services did not stop there.
He said he would continue to work to allocate and secure funds to purchase more vehicles for use in his electorate.
Tobi thanked Ghate and the DDA for allocating funds from the district services improvement programme (DSIP) to buy vehicle.
He assured them that the vehicle would be put to use for the benefit of the district.
