THE National Airport Corporation (NAC) has assured the landowners of the Nadzab international airport redevelopment project that consultation among the two parties will continue till the end of the project.
The single biggest airport project in the country will take almost 30 months to complete and is scheduled to be completed before the end of 2022.
According to NAC, the K700 million Nadzab Airport’s redevelopment project is now in its mobilisation stage and the actual construction to start in June.
Project director Tom Nou told The National that locals surrounding the airport area and the project site will be kept in the loop throughout the project.
“Community consultation has been established by the project team since the design of the project and this is continuing,” he said.
With the mobilising going off the ground now, Nou said the Morobe government has also assigned officers to assist with activities on the ground.
