OPPOSITION Leader Belden Namah was in East Sepik yesterday to launch his PNG Party branch in the province.
He wants a united Sepik.
“Greater Sepik, regardless of being East or West Sepik, we must be united again as we look forward to celebrate 50 years as a country,” he said.
“What have we achieved so far as a country?
“Successive governments have failed to provide a fair and just leadership.
“My people of East and West Sepik, the greater Sepik must be united again.
“It’s time we show them the leadership our founding fathers have laid our foundation on.”
Namah told a gathering of supporters that PNG Party stood for change and would continue to fight for change in the country for better development and services.
“Some people are afraid of change, I’m afraid of things staying the same.
“We want to show leadership and be a living legacy of this country Papua New Guinea.
“It is when we see every child is in good health and is educated in a classroom.”
The building up of the successful event also concluded with traditional singsing groups from all over Sepik.
PNG Party East Sepik president Raymond Tupa was sworn in and commissioned for the newly established party office.
