NASFUND’s Boroko service centre in Port Moresby will attend to all member payments in NCD beginning Sept 30 to make payment services more efficient, says an officer.
Nasfund chief officer for member services Charlie Gilichibi said the payment services include payment enquiries and lodgments and follow-ups including retirement, unemployment, housing advances, death, account merging to facilitate payments, inter-fund transfers, emigration and medical – permanent or total incapacitation due to physical or mental infirmity.
Meanwhile, the downtown service centre would cater for enquiries including balance checks, statement requests, contribution enquiries, bio data updates, beneficiary information updates, online access processing, Eda Supa contributions processing and all other enquiries not related to payments.
“NCD makes up 60 per cent of the total Nasfund membership base,” Gilichibi said
“This initiative will make our payments processing more efficient by ensuring we have the right talent, training, technology and systems deployed at the Boroko service centre.”
Meanwhile, Nasfund members in Madang can now benefit from 10 per cent discount on services from the NATU Medical Clinic and Pathology Services.
The clinic recently partnered with Nasfund to provide discount on the following services:

  • Medical services;
  • wellness services;
  • pathology services; and,
  • medical treatments and supply.

NATU Medical Clinic’s Dr Hannelly Taitarae said these services would be provided only on upfront payment by cash or by using the Eftpos machine.
