A resolution was passed by the Private Companies Netball Competition (PCNC) to end the pre-season with only one round, according to an official.
PCNC president Kori Toua Navuru said that this was due to the late start of the pre-season.
Navuru confirmed that 15 divisions would compete this year — which is one more than last season.
She said premier division grand finalists Bank South Pacific, Westpac, Moore Printing, Kina Bank, Pro-clean, Boroko Motors Ltd and Post Courier each with seven teams play six matches to complete the round.
This will feature a lot of Port Moresby netballers playing for their respective companies in the competition.
The same also applies to the other 14 divisions.
And then this will be followed by the semifinals and grand final in April.
By this time, the Port Moresby Netball Association will tip off its pre-season.
Navuru warned that all teams should compete in their uniforms.
“No uniforms, no game. It’s that simple,” she said.
“In the pre-season, we allowed teams to organise themselves to secure full uniforms before the season starts.”
