ALL round-robin matches of the National Capital District leg of the Coca-Cola Ipatas Cup were completed on Sunday and the preliminary finals are expected to be staged on Saturday.
NCD CCIC coordinator Simon Maima said the Central leg would have Thursday and Friday to complete their regular rounds before they head into finals with NCD at the PNG Football Stadium on Saturday.
“All the finals for both legs will be completed on Sunday and gold passes will be awarded to the winners of the two legs,” Maima said.
After the completion of the regular rounds for NCD, Paga Panthers and Tia Broncos remain undefeated.
Paga — who won the 2016 Ipatas Cup — head pool A with six points while the Broncos — led by former Panthers forward Kambi Igiman — lead Pool D with six points.
Paga coach Joe Sipa said they were looking to repeat their 2016 heroics.
Paga are led by Sparo Thomas, Jeffrey Para and former PNG Hunters playmaker Roger Laka.
