NCDSRL announce U18 squad

THE National Capital District Schools Rugby League (NCDSRL) has announced a 24-man train-on squad for an Under-18 trial match later this month.
NCDSRL president Arnold Gende said the boys’ squad would go into training in two weeks’ time before being split into two teams with a final squad to be picked later to represent NCD.
“The teams will go into training at Apex Park on Jan 18-22 before they meet on Jan 24,” he said.
“The venue of the trial match is yet to be decided but the selection is final after quality checks, considering player registration, attitude and documentation.”
Gende said the screening process for the selections considered academic and sporting aspects of the students with NCDSRL keen on developing players in both areas.
