NID probe called for

Letters

THE NID project was funded through a K230 million concessional loan from the Exim Bank of China.
Through a National Executive Council decision, the Department of National Planning and Monitoring was given the responsibility of running the project from 2013 to 2017.
However, when the project lapsed in December last year, the Ministry of National Planning and Monitoring took over the activities from the Department of National Planning and Monitoring and that created issues affecting the project’s progress.
I am also of the view that Papua New Guineans will welcome an investigation by anti-corruption agencies such as the Ombudsmen Commission for the sake of transparency and good governance.
Our citizens are not getting value of money.
