THE Papua New Guinea nines rugby league national selectors will announce their final Pacific Games squad before the Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee’s justification sub-committee on April 25.

The PNGRFL has 14 days to name a team.

Selectors from the four regions are expected to meet this week to consider the names for their squad.

The squad is expected to be made up of players from the PNG Hunters and those who took part at the national nines tournament in Lae in February.

It is believed the team will be dominated by Kumuls and players with Q-Cup and Digicel Cup experience in order to take on strong challenges from Samoa, Tonga and Fiji.

The PNGRFL is believed to have a 30-man list that will be trimmed to 15 by the end of the month.
