No new inventions seen from trips

SO often we hear and see in the media news of PNG politicians, departmental heads and chief executive officers taking overseas trips to develop this nation.
To date, there are no new invention or a manufacturing plant being set up.
PNG gained independence in 1975 and has clocked over 40 years but there is no history of an individual being smart and innovative enough to invent something new.
An expensive trip that bears no fruit is sinful in nature and is uncalled for at the expenses of taxpayers’ money.
Trips after trips without results is a mockery and shame.
