O’Neill holds talks with new envoy

 PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill met the Republic of Poland’s new ambassador, Powell Milewski, in Port Moresby this week.

Milewski presented his introduction letters and discussed bilateral relations between the two countries.

O’Neill said they discussed issues of common interest. 

“We discussed Papua New Guinea-Poland bilateral relations as well as regional and international matters of common interest to both our countries,” O’Neill said.

“PNG has continued to maintain robust relations since it established formal diplomatic ties with the Republic of Poland on March 10, 1978.”

He said PNG would welcome Polish investors to the country.

Milewski will be based in Canberra, Australia.
