THE National Capital District Eastern Highlands Rugby League off-season competition heads into round three at the Taurama Barracks Oval this weekend.
Official Benny Kene said the main purpose of the competition is to bring all Eastern Highlanders around NCD together to socialise and network through sport.
“Since rugby league was our national sport, the competition helps players develop their skills. But to run a competition is not cheap,” he said.
Therefore, he has urged clubs to settle their fees in full.
Kene said this was the last week for registration and failure to do so would result in matches being forfeited and teams removed from the competition.
So far 24 clubs have paid their fees in full.
