Paga Panthers win five on the trot in POMRFL

PAGA Panthers continued their perfect start to the season with their fifth-straight Port Moresby Rugby Football League win in the premier division on Sunday.
They beat Dobo Warriors 8-4 at the Oil Search National Football Stadium. Paga join Kone Tigers, who beat Royals 14-10, with the latter now winning all four of their matches.
Other match in pool two saw Butterflies beat West 18-8 while Defence were on a bye.
In pool one, Brothers bagged a 10-0 win over Kone Storm.
This is Brothers’ fourth win of the season while Magani and Souths ended their match in a 10-10 draw.
Tarangau defeated Hohola Flies for their third win of the season.
Brothers, Tigers, and Tarangau lead pool one while Paga, Tigers and Dobo lead pool two after round five of the competition.
Earlier in the year, the league said the top-four sides from each pool would advance into the finals of the condensed season.
Meanwhile, the Paga women’s side remains undefeated after they beat Dobo 30-0.
Paga and the Tigers lead the women’s division with the two still undefeated after round five.
