Pai to start enrolment next year

THE Pai Community College in Hela will start enrolling students next year, project manager Roderick Irepo says.
The college had been funded by the Tari-Pori District Development Authority since 2014. It has classrooms, accommodation and a mess hall.
Tari-Pori MP James Marape said the college would have technical and skills training courses, agro-innovative courses and Flexible Open Distance Education.
Irepo said the district had to build a workshop for the practical training in the mechanical and allied course, carpentry and allied courses, electrical and allied courses.
He said the college was about 80 per cent complete.
“The onus is now on the provincial education board to reactivate the recently closed Tari Technical and Vocational School,” Irepo said.
