Paita: Time given for MPs to prepare

Parliament has been adjourned to May to give MPs enough time to get their papers ready for tabling, says Leader of Government Business Rainbo Paita.
This comes after questions were raised on why Parliament was adjourned to May instead of April as the date set in the Parliament calendar.
However, Paita said they would still make up for the 64 days of sitting.
“So don’t believe whatever other reasons you hear or read about on social media, we just wanted to give enough time to MPs to put together their papers,” he said.
“Like for example the P’nyang project, we want to give MPs and ministers enough time to put together their papers before we sit again.”
