Pay landowners their shares

Letters

THERE were allegations that certain ministers under the then Peoples National Congress led government in late 2017 had colluded on a cabinet decision to make payments to certain factions of the Koiari landowners – while leaving others out.
Calls to decommission those ministers fell on deaf ears by then prime minister Peter O’Neill.
Even the National Fraud and Anti-Corruption Directorate failed to investigate them.
Some of those ministers are now in the Marape cabinet.
For the city to have no water is not a laughing matter.
The Marape-Steven Government should come up with benefit sharing agreements with the Koiari landowners on the use of water catchment for hydro and city water supply.
Otherwise the sabotage and blackmails of power and water will go on forever.
