People of Saussia must change their mentality

Letters, Normal

THE Saussia people of Yangoru-Saussia electorate must not be taken for a ride anymore by political leaders who are greedy and self-centred.
For too long, we have been labelled as briefcase carriers.
The Numbo and Saussia have promising leaders who are fair and effective.
Instead, we have given the mandate to the wrong people.
The current leadership seems to favour only his political cronies and own people, leaving others high and dry.
This one-sided political game has been going on for far too long.
Our Kubalia High School is run-down and yet the MP is not lifting a finger to upgrade it.
Law and order problem is getting from bad to worse but the MP has turned a blind eye, pretending everything is OK.
Our children from Kubalia do not get scholarship to attend tertiary institutions while Yangoru students get to enjoy such benefit.
Our health centres are deteriorating and there are no drugs even for common sickness.
The Tangori-Yekimbolei road is no better than a pig track but the earth moving machineries and two four-tonne trucks are sitting idle at Yangoru station.
I call on the people of Saussia to wake up and look for a real leader who can bring development to the whole district and not just to a certain area.
