Perpetrators deserve maximum penalties

Letters

I WISH to express my gratitude towards the court for finding Richard Namaliu guilty of causing the death of late Ruby-Anne Laufa as per The National on Friday.
Enough is enough.
This should serve as a warning to husbands or boyfriends who mistreat their wife’s or girlfriends.
However, I feel that 15 years because a life is forever lost. Laufa cannot not be brought back after 15 years.
The murderer will be free after 15 years and enjoy his life.
What’s 15 years compared to life being lost?
Can the court consider harsher penalties so that the perpetrators receive maximum penalties for their actions?
