PIH needs to explain

Letters

THE cause of death of rising rugby league star Ottio as “heat stroke” by Dr Jaiyesh Kumar of Pacific International Hospital in your newspaper yesterday is unacceptable.
Although Ottio was engaged in strenuous exercise in the heat of 30-39 degrees celsius, all players take precautions to prevent
this from happening in the first place.
He had been at PIH for nearly six hours and heat strokes are treatable with cooling.
It’s unacceptable to die from a treatable cause.
The public needs to know the real cause of Ottio’s death.
Until then the “heat stroke” is unacceptable.
My heartfelt condolences to his family, his team mates and the rugby league fraternity.
