PM congratulates Toua for winning gold medal for PNG

PRIME Minister James Marape has congratulated Papua New Guinea’s top female weightlifter Dika Toua on her gold-medal wins at the 16th Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa.
He said the veteran weight lifter was an inspiration, showing people the resilience of mothers, daughter and sisters in the country.
“Whilst some destroy mothers, daughter and sisters, they (women) continue to work faithfully for our country,” Marape said in a statement.
“Well done and I am proud of you.”
Marape also thanked the veteran’s parents, spouse, children, Hanuabada villagers, her coach and sponsors for their continued support that resulted in Toua winning gold for PNG.
