PNG is no longer a safe place for its people

Letters, Normal

PAPUA New Guinea is no longer safe and friendly like it was in the early 1970s and 1980s.
In those days people are more civilised, respect each other and lived peacefully.
Women and girls can walk freely anywhere without fear and threat.
Although more people are educated today, their behaviours speak otherwise.
As I see it, people are behaving like animals, with a handful even worse than animals.
As a highlander, I call on other highlanders to stop behaving like primitives and be more civilised.
It is time we act like matured human beings because highlanders will be ones who develop and shape this country in years to come.
