Shooting prisoners not OK, Aimo

Letters, Normal

TONY Aimo and Richard Sikani are both corrupted figures and do not have leadership qualities.
They have no vision and clearly do not put the people’s interest first.
Since when is it okay for law enforcers to kill prisoners?
Only the court has the power to decide.
The only exception is when warders are being shot at or their lives are at stake.
Aimo’s insistence to buy weapons at a cost of K9 million simply shows that he has no long-term plan, vision or commitment to improve and refurbish prisons nationwide.
The K9 million should be used to upgrade and improve the prisons.
For Aimo to say “if I had non-lethal weapons, these escapees would not have been killed” shows prisoners have no rights as far as he is concerned.
Weapons are not the answer as they do not help in rehabilitating prisoners.
