PNGFA warns member associations to pay annual fee

THE Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) has warned all 18 member associations across the country to pay their 2021 annual membership fee.
PNGFA member association service manager Stanley Khanna advised all associations to pay up before they could access PNGFA-sanctioned football activities and programmes.
He said the non-payment would indicate voluntary de-registration from the sport’s national soccer body.
Khanna said the fee was a requirement under the statutes of the organisation.
“For these reasons, member associations have no excuses, but must comply,” he said.
So far, Madang Soccer Association and New Britain Palm Oil Limited (NBPOL) Soccer Association have paid in full whilst the rest have yet to settle their fee before the next annual general meeting.
“(Our) finance team will impose a due date and once this are done, I will ensure it is executed,” Khanna said.
He urged all member associations to take a new operational approach if they were serious about moving forward from being stagnant and one of the areas to improve on was administration.
“We must guide our member association to do the right thing by always getting them to stand on their toes,” Khanna said.
“Everything has to start from the member association level because without our member associations, there is no PNGFA.
“For those who have complied, they must liaise with PNGFA to collect their receipts.”
The 18 associations are Port Moresby, National Capital District Public Servants Soccer, Lae, Lahi, Wau, Madang, Tabubil, Mt Hagen, Goroka, Simbu, Mendi, Wabag, Hekari, Manus, Bougainville, Koupa, Kimbe and NBPOL.
The fee must be deposited directly into PNGFA’s Bank South Pacific account (No.7002171143) and email the deposit slip to Elizabeth Waki (elizabeth.waki@gmail), Moi Leidimo (mleidimo@gmail) and Stanley Khanna (yalakanna11@gmail or [email protected]).
