BUSINESSES wanting to advertise the services they offer, and people looking for job opportunities, can use the online platform PNGhometask for their needs.
Strategic communications (STRATCOM) business development manager Nancy Lai said the online platform provided access to a market for trade services, and provides employment opportunity for skilled Papua New Guineans.
“Our service SMEs – carpenters, electricians, plumbers, joinery specialist, mechanics, building contractors – can now find contracts or small jobs quicker,” she said.
“You can now find home cleaners, child carers and security guards, haus meri and cleaners quicker using PNGhomestask.”
It is a local online marketplace and service job-matching platform application and is a joint venture between Strategic Communications and Pacific Ads (advertising) Group.
The web-based platform is now accessible on Google and enables SMEs to realise their full socio-economic and commercial potential, according to Lai.
The range of sectors represented within the portfolio is also expanding and is also open to home cooking services, home events, photographers, residential gas supplies and easy pay (electricity) service providers in residential areas.
“We want to support individuals and companies more committed to harness the power of mobile technology to deliver impact in their local societies and economies and partner with our mobile operators.”
Stratco showcased its product at the PNG ICT Expo hosted by the National Information Technology and Communications Authority at the Stanley Hotel in Port Moresby last week.
