THE Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League (PNGRFL) is set to hold its annual general meeting (AGM) in Port Moresby on March 7, according to a statement
PNGRFL chairman Sandis Tsaka said event would be an election AGM.
Therefore, the election of a chairman and four confederation directors are among the agenda items, which include the 2019 PNGRFL annual reports, audited financials and constitutional amendments.
He said a general meeting will be held after the AGM to discuss other rugby league matters. Tsaka reminded eligible delegates, who travel to and from the AGM, that accommodation costs would be met by PNGRFL.
“Subsistence and other costs are the responsibility of the delegates and their respective leagues,” he said. Tsaka said those affiliated leagues that complied with the PNGRFL requirements, registrations and completed their season with grand finals were eligible to attend the AGM.
The chairman said only the presidents or their nominated representatives from each eligible affiliated league would be allowed entry into the AGM.
The venue for the AGM will be made known when the final meeting notices are published next week, PNGRFL said in the statement.
