Police arrest student with gun

A STUDENT who allegedly had a homemade gun was arrested by police in Port Moresby on Friday.
Police said the 18-year-old was picked up by police from the Waigani Police Station on patrol in June Valley.
He allegedly had a homemade gun and a bullet used in military rifles.
National Capital District Met Supt Perou N’dranou said they would continue to maintain surveillance on crime apart from carrying out awareness on Covid-19.
Police also recovered a stolen taxi at 2-Mile. Police are urging the public to contact the Boroko Police operations centre on 1800 100 to report a crime.

  • Unbelivable that students should be the cream of the nation to lead by examples to go against crimes. If students can behave in such ways then the future of PNG is in a sad destiny…
