FIFTEEN Morobe policewomen left for the 10th National Policewomen’s Conference in Kimbe, West new Britain, on Saturday focused on making the best out of it.
The week-long conference starts today.
Sergeant Diane Aiam, of the Morobe command, told The National that the opportunity given to them was significant as policewomen to share and learn from others around the country.
Being one of the senior women’s officers in the command, Aiam said probation officers should learn as much as possible and get to know what was required of them.
“We have been in the force for a long time and it is the young up-and-coming officers who are now in their probationary period to learn as much as possible to take our place,” she said.
“The conference will involve speakers from different walks of life.”
Aiam urged senior officers in the force to provide assistance to probationary personnel.
