Port Moresby needs more traffic lights

PORT Moresby urgently needs traffic lights in certain locations before the Pacific Games.

These areas include 3 and 4 mile roundabouts, Waigani tunnel and other locations where direct routes to the games venues will be accessed.

It will only worsen the traffic flow problems that we already have which will be a huge frustration for visitors to the Games.

If nothing is done, our nternational friends will go away with one big memory: Port Moresby has the biggest roundabouts in the world which directly contribute to traffic congestion.

I live in Mt Hagen but when I visit Port Moresby I always wonder who planned these gigantic roundabouts in the city.

I have not seen such engineering stupidity in cities like Seoul, Melbourne and Houston I have been to.

I hope common sense will prevail because I am a taxpayer and I want to enjoy what I am paying for such as a good road with easy traffic flow.
