POTTERS House Christian Fellowship Church has moved from Badihagwa to Konedobu after 15 years.
The church was using the Badihagwa Secondary School Hall for Sunday service and weekly services until last month.
Last Sunday was the third time for the church to have a service at the new location.
The church has establishments in Vanimo, Alotau, Popondetta and Port Moresby.
Port Moresby congregations are located at Taurama, East Boroko, Garden Hills, June Valley and Konedobu Scout Hall.
Its establishment is based on the Book of Jeremiah 18:2, “Arise and go down to potters house, and there I will cause you to hear my words.”
Pastor Tom Kilavi said this Bible verse inspired the creation of the church.
He told The National that Potters’ House pioneer work started at Gabutu with the establishment of the Baadihgwa church on Aug 29, 2004.
After the first pastor’s term ended in 2008, Kilavi took over and has been there since.
“God does his work in spirit in our broken lives, moulds and shapes us to be true disciples,” Kilavi said.
“We served the Lord at Badihagwa for 15 years.
“On Sept 16, celebrating our 43 years of Independence, we moved to Konedobu Scout Hall.
“We have an agreement with the management of the Scout Hall.
“This is the third Sunday to have a service conducted by our head pastor Perry Noah, who oversees church work in the country.”
