THE PNG Power Softball Club were proud recipients of two new sets of uniforms from their employer last Friday.

PNG Power acting CEO John Yanis, chief operating officer Keven Molone and other senior executives and PNG Softball Federation president Stan Bais were at the presentation ceremony.

Yanis said PNG Power would continue the sponsorship of the company softball team which involved employees and spouses of current and former staff with new uniforms to boost their morale in the Port Moresby Men’s Softball Association competition.

He said the team has won several A grade premiership and with its current form the support was to get them on the right footing to the semi-finals.

Yanis said the two sets of uniforms – 25 each for the A and B grades – were brought in from New Zealand and cost more than K12,000.

The acting CEO said the company was not only supporting softball but any sporting codes as their obligation to the community.

Elite player Daniel Tovia said the team had used the old uniforms for some time and it was good that the PNG Power executive management ordered brand new uniforms from NZ.

“On behalf of the club I extend my gratitude to the company management for their full support to the club.”
