OUR power supplies in Papua New Guinea are unreliable and ineffectively managed.
Power supply is an important asset in a growing economy like Papua New Guinea.
The Government is doing at least something but may be not doing it correctly to settle the issue of frequent power cuts in the country.
There have been a lot of damages done to so many activities that are depending on power due to frequent power cuts.
Consumers of PNG Power have been raising their concerns in the published media so many times but less is done by PNG Power to get the power cut problem solved.
Commercial, public, private and the list goes on are normally disrupted many times and causing inconveniences to what they are doing to efficiently progress due to frequent power cuts.
There is no one time in PNG where power supplies are maintained uninterrupted throughout the year during these recent times where the economy is improving in some respects as observed.
People in all walks of life are heavily depending on the power supply to get their work done and contribute meaningfully to the economy of this country, but there seems a setback for this country due to frequent power cuts.
It is about time the Government should do something more constructively to efficiently manage our power supplies.
This country needs to provide reliable power supplies to grow the country in all aspects of activities that are taking place.
The power supply is very essential to this country if it were to progress in the right direction.
There have been a lot of times the power cuts is causing inconvenience to this country’s progress.
The power is essential to get this country continue progressing because power is the core basis in which developments are vest upon.
Even the Government can fail in some respects but somewhere down the line someone is putting up something contributing to the progress of this country using the power.
However, there seems a setback because of the ongoing power cuts leaving this country in nightmares at times.
It seems the power cut problem is becoming a mammoth task to solve once and for all by the Authority concern.
If one has to closely observe, there have been a lot of losses in businesses, assets, activities and time because of frequent power cuts facing this country these recent times.
And yet the PNG Power is not realising the damages that are done.
Therefore, the PNG Power is urged to come up with a concrete solution to this ineradicable epidemic that is hindering the progress of this country over time.
